Newport, Maine
Tucked along Moosehead Trail, Newport Masonic Lodge offers a quiet sanctuary where the pace slows and the forest speaks for itself.
Our Story
Newport Masonic Lodge has been a quiet landmark in northern Maine for decades — a place where visitors come not just to rest, but to reconnect. The building carries a sense of history that you feel the moment you arrive: wide porches, timber frames, and the steady hum of the surrounding woods.
We are not a resort. We are something more intentional — a retreat for those who value stillness, for travelers who understand that the best stays are measured in quiet moments and genuine hospitality rather than amenities lists.
Whether you are passing through the Moosehead Lake region or deliberately seeking a pause, this is a place that welcomes you as you are.

Location
We sit on Moosehead Trail just outside Newport, Maine — a town of roughly 2,000 people where the pace is measured in seasons, not minutes. The nearest major access is via Route 15, and the drive itself is worth the time: rolling hills, dense spruce, and the occasional glimpse of a moose at dusk.
Moosehead Lake — Maine's largest lake — is only a few miles away. In summer, it draws kayakers and anglers. In winter, it becomes a frozen expanse for snowmobiling and ice fishing. Either way, the landscape defines the stay.
